Tools for Community Building

The Nunavut and NWT Literacy Councils are working in partnership with Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada to assist groups to develop proposals for health related projects.

Funding is currently available for community-based projects in both Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.  The projects must deal with one or more of these issues:

  • HIV / AIDS
  • Hepatitis C
  • Reduction in Drug Use

Tools for Community Building is a tool kit that you may find useful in planning and carrying out local projects and community activities.  The site includes a proposal writing guide, sample project proposals, and many other useful resources.
